Company Introduction

Guangzhou CSSC Longxue Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was registered and established on May 25, 2006. It is the core enterprise of Longxue Shipbuilding Base, one of China's three major shipbuilding bases, and is currently the largest modern large-scale shipbuilding backbone enterprise in South China. It is jointly operated by three central state-owned mega-enterprise groups: China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Baosteel Group Corporation Limited, and China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited. The company is located on Longxue Island in Nansha District, Guangzhou, approximately 70 kilometers from the city center. It is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau, enjoying a favorable geographical location. The company covers an area of 2.53 million square meters and has two large shipyards, four berths, and four 600-ton gantry cranes. The company employs advanced technology processes and equipment, with a planned annual shipbuilding capacity of 3.5 million deadweight tons.

The company started shipbuilding in the first half of 2008, and the first 308,000 deadweight ton Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) was delivered in the fourth quarter of 2009. As of the end of February 2012, the company had completed and delivered 4.172 million deadweight tons of ships. The establishment and operation of the company are of significant importance in promoting the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure in Guangdong, improving the layout of China's shipbuilding industry, and making China a major and strong shipbuilding nation.

The company's product positioning includes Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), Suezmax oil tankers, Aframax oil tankers, Panamax oil tankers, Very Large Ore Carriers (VLOCs), Capesize and Post-Panamax bulk carriers, large container ships, high-tech vessels (such as LNG carriers), and other civilian vessels.
